# Change an expiry policy

You can change a Schema's expiry policy any time. Any QR codes created prior to the policy change will remain unaffected.

Go to the aCheck Home page

Click a Schema to display the Schema configuration page.

Click the **Change** button next to the Expiry policy label. The Set expiry policy form is displayed

#### Change a Date-based policy to a Duration-based policy

Click the date picker

Click **Clear** to remove the date

Click Save.

The Date-based policy has been removed. You can now add a Duration-based policy

#### Change a Duration-based policy to a Date-based policy

Click the duration dropdown

Click empty option at the top of the dropdown list to remove the duration

Click Save.

The Duration-based policy has been removed. You can now add a Date-based policy
